Joe Brandon Named TEDC Lifetime Member

The Tennessee Economic Development Council (TEDC) has recognized Joe Brandon as recipient of the 2011 Lifetime Membership Award. Mr. Brandon’s leadership in economic development were honored in his award selection as TEDC’s Lifetime Member.

Mr. Brandon’s dedication to Tennessee’s economic strength is exemplified in his many roles in economic development throughout his career. He has served at the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, where he introduced the Retention and Expansion (R&E) program. Also deeply involved in economic development on the local level, Mr. Brandon served on Lewisburg’s first Industrial Development Board. He is dedicated, long-time member of TEDC, having served as Middle Tennessee Director and, for a decade, as principle fundraiser.

“An economically strong Tennessee benefits all of us. I look forward to continued service to my community and state,” stated Joe Brandon. “I am honored by this recognition from the Tennessee Economic Development Council.”
