Doug Lawyer
Doug Lawyer is Director of Economic Development for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce where he has worked since 2001. Before joining the Knoxville Chamber, from 1996-2001, Doug was the Manager of Industrial Park Development and Property Management for the Development Corporation of Knox County.
He has a geography and political science degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Urban Planning with an emphasis in real estate development.
Doug is currently Vice President of the Tennessee Economic Development Council. He is also a member of the International Economic Development Council as well as a CoreNet Global. He is a past president of East Tennessee Industrial Council.
Lawyer and his wife, Andrea, live in Knoxville. They have a daughter, Julia, and a dog named Tanner.
