TENNESSEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

January 15, 2009

The Meeting was called to order by President Walt Wood. Members participating included Paul Latture, Spencer Sessions, Tim Thompson, Don Hurst and Holly Weber. Kayla Taylor and Sharon Younger with Younger Associates and Suzie Lusk with the Tennessee Chamber also participated.
Business Items included the following:

The Minutes were distributed from the December 18th Board meeting. A Motion to Approve by Paul Latture and second by Don Hurst. The Motion passed unanimously.

Financials were presented. Approved by Spencer Sessions with a second by Tim Thompson. The Motion passed unanimously. The 2009 Budget will be reviewed by Don Hurt, Walt Wood and Suzie Lusk and presented at the next board meeting.

The Day on the Hill is set for March 4, 2009. Mike Evans will chair the event. The program has been set with Commissioners Kisber, Goetz, Farr and Neeley speaking. Deb Woolley with the TN Chamber will also speak.

The date is set for April 29-May 1, 2009 for Destin, FL. The program will be developed by our Vice President, Paul Latture.

The date has been set for October 7-9, 2009 at the Meadowview Conference Center in Kingsport, TN

Each director is responsible for programs. We can promote on our website and newsletter. Regional Meetings can take place at any time. .
