TENNESSEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

February 18, 2009

The Meeting was called to order by President Walt Wood. Members participating included Mike Evans, Spencer Sessions, Doug Lawyer, and Holly Weber. Kayla Taylor with Younger Associates and Suzie Lusk with the Tennessee Chamber also participated.

Business Items included the following:

The Minutes were distributed from the January 15th Board meeting. A Motion to Approve by Doug Lawyer and second by Walt Wood. The Motion passed unanimously.

Financials were presented. Approved by Holly Weber with a second by Mike Evans. The Motion passed unanimously.

The Day on the Hill is set for March 4, 2009. Mike Evans will chair the event. The program has been set with Commissioners Kisber, Goetz, Farr and Neeley speaking. Deb Woolley with the TN Chamber will also speak. Registrations are coming in and we should have.

The date is set for April 29-May 1, 2009 for Destin, FL. The program will be developed by our Vice President, Paul Latture.

The date has been set for October 7-9, 2009 at the Meadowview Conference Center in Kingsport, TN

Each director is responsible for programs. Regional Meetings can take place at any time.

TEDC was asked to sponsor one lunch at the TN Basic Course in May. Approve by Doug Lawyer and second by Walt Wood. The Motion passed unanimously.
