GPEDC Seeking President and CEO
The Greater Paducah Economic Development Council (GPEDC) is seeking candidates for the position of President and CEO. GPEDC is a public-private partnership charged with the retention, expansion and diversification of the economic base of Paducah and McCracken County, Kentucky.
Activities of the position include: Identification and recruitment of new businesses and industries to Paducah/McCracken County through a cohesive marketing effort; Development of a quality working relationship with existing businesses and industries to facilitate their retention and expansion; Property management and development; Negotiating incentive packages and closing deals; Being attune to the importance of workforce and education in economic development; And, working collaboratively with a broad constituency including a volunteer board of directors, elected officials, partner agencies, higher education, and state economic development officials.
The ideal candidate will be:

- Someone with outstanding interpersonal skills who can forge strong relationships
- Skilled with a proven record of public and private sector collaboration
- A quick learner with outstanding problem-solving skills
- Goal and results-oriented
Technical skills and background include:
- Minimum five years experience in economic development or a related environment
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Familiarity with the business and economic climate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Paducah/McCracken County desired
